Born in Havana, Cuba, and deeply influenced by the cultural and creative background of his family.
Indeed, Juan Carlos is the descendant of the famous Cuban musician Sindo Garay, the first Cuban Trovaor, the composer of the Cuban national anthem and founder of what would be known as, The Buena Vista Social Club, the world-famous Cuban Trovadores.
Raised in Miami, Florida, where he studied at the University of Miami, with a double major in medicine and the fine arts. Juan Carlos is a multitalented artist… restores historical buildings and does interior design as well as set design work, but his main passion and occupation is photography. Also, an excellent percussionist and occasionally plays with Latin jazz bands.

After working with many International fashion photographers in Miami, Florida, he became the exclusive photographer of American Video, Inc. Later in their Stuttgart Germany, subsidiary. Soon thereafter opening his studio in Germany, where he specialized in fashion, beauty and people photography and since has been successfully working with numerous multinational companies.
Today he continues to works as a successful beauty portrait, fashion and lifestyle photographer, 

in Germany, Spain and the US.
